A message from our Chair, Jane Barker

Thank you for visiting our website .

Chalfonts u3a is a member led organisation which offers  a wide range of interest and activity groups  run by its members for its members. We are a group of retired and semi-retired people who want to continue sharing our educational, social and creative interests with other people in an informal and friendly environment.  Our interest groups meet regularly and cover subjects from languages to science, walking to ballroom dancing , bridge to mah-jong , wine tasting to New Experiences and many more besides. We offer monthly members’ meetings with guest speakers and a regular newsletter to all our members. There are also theatre outings and coach excursions to places of interest.

Normally many of our meetings take place at the Chalfont St Peter Community Centre.

During the pandemic many of our groups have been able to meet up using Zoom, including our monthly members’ meetings. Members have also been able to access courses and talks organised by the local Thames Valley network of u3as and the national u3a. We are now working hard to open up our groups again in line with guidance from Government, professional bodies and the national u3a.

I am very proud to be the Chair of Chalfonts u3a and hope you will enjoy looking around our website and consider joining our organisation. Please do get in touch with me if there is anything you would like to share or ask me – chair@chalfontsu3a.org.uk
