A message from our Chair, Jane Barker

A very warm welcome to our u3a – I hope you will enjoy visiting our website.

Chalfonts u3a is a member-led organisation which offers a wide range of interest and activity groups run by its members for its members. We are a group of retired and semi-retired people who want to continue sharing our educational, social and creative interests with other people in an informal and friendly environment. We are a thriving and dynamic u3a with over 800 members.

Our interest groups meet regularly and cover subjects from languages to science, walking to ballroom dancing, bridge to mah-jong, wine tasting to New Experiences and many more besides. There is something for everyone! We offer monthly members’ meetings with guest speakers (in-person and online) and a regular newsletter to all our members. There are also theatre outings and coach excursions to places of interest.

If you don’t feel ready to meet up in person at the moment, you can attend our monthly meeting via Zoom and sign up to some of the interesting online talks offered by the Thames Valley Network of u3as. Details of these are circulated to members in advance.
