Important Message from the Community Centre regarding coronavirus (COVID-19)

15th March 2020

Dear Users/ Hirers

I’m writing with regard to the  COVID -19 virus.

The advice we have is to remind you to continue with the usual precautions to minimise the spread of colds and flu, in particular regular hand washing for 20 seconds and ask that you draw this to the attention of all your  members of  respective groups. This should be done at the very least on arrival and then as you leave the Centre, using the warm air hand dryers in the ladies, gents and disabled toilets.

We have also introduced enhanced hygiene practices and removed all tea towels in both kitchens and advice  you to use paper towels for drying crockery . All the large groups we are asking you use paper cups until further notice to avoid the possibility of the transfer of infections .

Following the government’s announcements yesterday we request that  you and your members not to visit the Centre should you have either a  high temperature or a new cough. Further information can be found on these links - the - NHS and Government pages remain the best place for up to date and accurate information.

Finally if any members of your group are suspected or confirmed to be suffering from the virus please let the Centre know immediately so we can take the appropriate action.

As the situation changes we will be in touch .

Kind regards
David Burbidge
