Our Objectives

  • To learn about writing for pleasure

  • To meet once a month to discuss what we have written with other members of the group

  • To broaden our appreciation of different styles of writing and different genres of writing

  • To meet in a social setting so we can have good conversation about writing

  • To organise occasional visits to local literary events in line with member’s interests

  • To encourage discussion and enjoy sharing our views with each other

Meeting Frequency

We meet once a month.

Ability Level

Anyone interested in writing for fun, both fiction and non-fiction is welcome. Our purpose is to have an enjoyable discussion and share our views, insights and thoughts about the creative processes involved in writing.

Members of the group are expected to engage by writing and sharing their writing with the group members so that everyone can learn and improve their writing.
