On Wednesday, February 28th one of the canal boat skippers offered us a Heritage Trip on a 1930’s working boat called Roger.  This is a fully restored classic boat on the UK National Historic Register.  The experience starts at Rickmansworth Canal Centre at 9:30 am with refreshments on arrival, a short talk about Roger’s history, the building of canals, working bargees and their families and then a 2-hour round trip north towards Croxley, arriving back at Rickmansworth at about 1 pm.

There is all-day free parking at Tesco’s (500m).  Also, there are cafes and eateries nearby for lunch (500m).  There are steps so some mobility is necessary though help can be provided.

The cost is only £10 per person and there are only 12 places available.  Please get back to me if you would like to attend.
