A little detail on the meeting…
As always we discussed any computing problems members may be having. We then started looking at Social Media from its growth through Web 2.0 and the rise in the use of mobile devices. We introduced some of terms used in social media including Memes, Internet Initialism's and Emoji's. We then looked at using hashtags as a way of tagging posts, tweets and YouTube videos and how the @ symbol is used to tag individuals or organisations.
